Baptist Retail Pharmacy & Starbucks - Little Rock, Arkansas
Baptist Retail Pharmacy and Starbucks Coffee shop is a 6,000 sq. ft. remodel within a medical office building at Baptist Medical Center. The program included a reconfiguration of the retail inventory mix to maximize the retail shelf space. The concept goals included the desire to create an upscale atmosphere with display design that would create a comfortable homelike atmosphere. The sales floor includes a fireplace and informal seating area with media information for video information about conventional and homeopathic medicine. The prescription dispensing counter includes a pharmacist-customer seating area where conversation can occur privately. The pharmacy back counter includes all new modular Mill-Care casework and a fully automated Scripture prescription dispensing. The pharmacy also includes a fully certified clean room with compounding and iv preparation. Mezzanine storage and Pharmacy offices. The planning team established a goal to have the best coffee shop in the city and did not settle for less. The Owner worked tirelessly to bring a first to Little Rock and Arkansas and created the first full service home for Starbucks in Arkansas. The Starbucks coffee shop was relocated within the space. The Starbucks Shop provides the typical kitchen and bar within the space and additional seating is obtained by borrowing excess corridor space within the Medical Towers Mall. The work was accomplished while the pharmacy remained in operation.
