The 13,623 SF facility has 4,080 SF dedicated to chemotherapy treatment, managed by the Little Rock Hematology Oncology Group. The Radiation Therapy CARTI Facility occupies 9,543 SF and offers the latest in radiation therapy technology.
The treatment facilities include one 2100C varian linear accelerator, a varian simulator, and eight exam rooms that are used by both chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Support areas include administrative, planning and film and reading areas, dressing and lockers. The chemotherapy department shares the diagnostic equipment and exams. The architectural features bring in light and planting into the treatment areas. The effort to humanize the high-tech, intimidating environment is very successful.
