Kappa Sigma Upper Classmen Apartment Fayetteville, Arkansas
A rare opportunity to work on the KZ Fraternity house in Fayetteville was presented when two Executive members Ron Tabor and Charles Whiteside offered Jack Tucker, Architects, Memphis and Myself SGB Architects both former members to do major renovation on this classic Fraternity House Located at 711 W. Dickson the main entry to the U of A Campus.
The Fraternity housing also included an old apartment building on the northwest corner of the property that was in poor condition and maintained a low occupancy. The building program called for the remodeled if the main house and the construction of new dormitory rooms, classrooms, kitchen, dining and support space to provided housing for new members and pledges. Most of the officers resided in the main house as well. The Existing apartment building was remodeled to provide housing for upper KZ classmen. With the addition of upperclassmen on site and taking advantage of the fraternity functions a more mature environment was available
