Mt. Magazine Bath House & Campground - Mt. Magazine, Arkansas
CAMPGROUNDS:
Mt. Magazine Bath House is part of the Campground facility and the First Phase of Construction on Mt. Magazine. The campgrounds were in use on a limited basis, but limited services were offered. The Main Lodge was destroyed by fire in the late sixties and the Mountain was mostly lost as a visitor destination. The existing Campgrounds, support facilities, pavilion, ranger housing, water and sewer utilities and visitor information center made up the first phase of the vision for Mt. Magazine.
Bath House:
The bath and toilet facilities provided for overnight campers in the small campsites as well as the larger campsites for RV’s that provide facilities for extended stays. The project addressed the existing and new Campsites to provide water, power and sewer tie-on. Fire pits, grilling, lantern supports, picnic tables and tent placement areas were added Most of the sites provided for the now larger camping vehicles. A separate water fill and dump station was also added for the fifth wheel trailers and RV campers.
